Our Consultancy team members are former Metropolitan Police Officers who have served in SO14(2) Royalty Protection as Personal Protection Officers to Her Majesty The Queen and other senior members of the British Royal Family.

As a guide on Team strengths, if you follow the Royalty model we’re used to. It’s a daily Team of 5 per Principal, that is:
-Personal Protection Officer or PPO, sometimes referred to as Team leader, TL.
-Close Protection Officers or CPO’s x 4. Two in a backup vehicle following the Principals vehicle and two in advance of where ever the Principal goes. Venue to venue, country to country.
-Security Driver, another CPO whose job it is to drive the Principals vehicle.
There will usually be four of these Teams working on a rota, it can be done with 3 Teams depending on the Principals movements and the need for recce’s and advance travel for handovers.
The remaining staff out of that 30 will be possibly other PPO’s and CPO’s for other Principals, wives, children. Which may see the package resourced differently if the children are always with the mother/wife. The Residential Security Team or RST will also be in that figure. Their role is to look after the venue and maintain its integrity, fire procedures, oversee deliveries etc. Depending on the size of the house or houses depends on the number needed. Usually work in pairs for continuity on a 12 hour shift, providing cover 24/7. Spare drivers will also come from this pool of officers.
